Bianca Belair: The EST of WWE, Multi-Time World Champion, and Pop-Culture Powerhouse
Early Life & Collegiate Track Stardom
Bianca Belair was born Bianca Nicole Blair on April 9, 1989, in Knoxville, Tennessee. Raised in an athletic family, she attended Austin-East Magnet High School, excelling in track and field, basketball, and gymnastics.
She transitioned her high school success into a collegiate track career, competing as an All-SEC hurdle runner at the University of South Carolina, Texas A&M University, and the University of Tennessee. Following college, she competed as a powerlifter and CrossFit athlete before being discovered by WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry, who invited her to a WWE tryout in 2016.
The NXT Era & “The EST” Persona
Signing with WWE in 2016, Bianca developed her signature persona: “The EST of WWE”—proclaiming herself to be the fastest, strongest, quickest, roughest, and toughest competitor in the company.
In NXT, she gained rapid acclaim for her unmatched physical strength, charisma, and signature long braided ponytail—which she frequently incorporated into her ring style. Famous for designing and sewing her own ring gear, she established herself as an elite prospect with dominant performances in the Mae Young Classic and high-profile NXT Women’s Championship matches.
